Kindy kids wear their pjs for Daffodil Day

Last Friday, the children from Emily Foord Kindy in Stafford wore their pyjamas and raised vital funds for Queensland’s iconic Daffodil Day.

Emily Foord Memorial Kindergarten teacher Mrs Lisa Neil said they were inspired to show their support for Daffodil Day, after a student was diagnosed with Leukaemia last year.

“Daffodil day is another day on our calendar that we can highlight the plight of others and discuss with our children the role we can all play to show we care,” she said.

“Our children have talked about how sad it would be to have to stay in your pyjamas all day and not be able to go to kindy and play.”

“As a kindergarten community we have been touched by cancer many times in recent years and it has brought the cause close to all our hearts.”

Mrs Neil said the children have been encouraged to do jobs at home throughout the week to help raise extra donations for Daffodil Day.
